GAS - Gear Acquisition Syndrome (Part 1)

Matching gear:

Those look fantastic in person, if you haven’t seen one yet. Very cool multitone color scheme. I think you’ll be very happy.

Could be worse. Could be Hertha Berlin… or Spartak Moskva

I think a Plethora X3 in the B6 FX loop will set me great as I like the TC effects (I have a Trinity reverb and an Alter Ego delay). I just need to find a pedalboard that is inexpensive and can fit it :joy: (or set the X3 on the floor).

But for the price of all that I’m approaching a Helix LT and past the HH Stomp.

FML :woman_facepalming:t2:

I like the B6 but its weakness is CPU and effects.

:joy: I think you need a Quad Cortex. That one can run 4 channels with effects at ease

I do, but I don’t need a quad cortex price :eyes:

I was originally going to go down that road, but $1850 if I can even get one from the only US Distributor, Sweetwater, or some asshat selling his “lightly used” one for $3000 on Reverb. No thanks XD

I don’t get people that buy a QC and try to sell it with profit. Should have bought one when they released it. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Maybe one day…

One of the guitarists that was in my band had one he had gotten on preorder for $1200.

God damn it lol

Yeah, I’m good now with a Trinity in the FX loop…

I feel like I am going to get one at some far future point (by then it will probably be an OctoCortex or something) but there is no real path to that as I have no plans to play live like ever, so I’m not sure why I feel that way.

The plugins. They’re going to work on the hardware according to the company :eyes: Maybe they already do, I haven’t checked in a while.

Then you can clicky footswitches and do things.

What I would really want is that to be bidirectional, like on the Helix with Helix Native.

I think that’s the goal? But the plugins also cost a lot on their own, meanwhile I think Helix Native is like $100 for Helix owners? :upside_down_face: Or what, $300 or $400 on its own?

So, first impressions of the Audio Technica headphones after one 30 minute practice session.

I wish I had found these, when I was buying my old OneOdio “studio” headphones. For an extra $12 these are a world of difference better. The sound is clearer, with a richer low end and sharper trebles. They are also much lighter.

Some time back I asked on this forum why my monitoring sounded dead and dull, but my recording through the same mixer was way too trebly and loud. Well, I guess I know my answer now.

Glad they’re working for you. I really like my Audio-Technica headphones. Clean and clear across the spectrum. Perfect for headphone bass practice.

Pedalboards are either just barely too small or way too big :upside_down_face:

But the Temple Audio Trio 28 might be just right…

A law of the universe for sure.

You know you want to build your own, and we all know you have the tools…

I have done that; it’s in the attic atm, it’s pretty big

Or it’s not as big as I remember. I should check it… but it’s also pretty heavy and finding a case for it… :eyes:

Lol this one is huge. Guess we got different definitions of a big pedalboard
