With a few exceptions I believe all Epis are now made in China.
I highly doubt of it …
Done.
Sweetwater says my new La Bellas are on their way. Bass gets here Friday.
I’ve had both and I preferred the neck on the Epi. I’ve never had a quality issue with Epiphone but I know others have.
Thanks for the input everyone. I’ll stick with my Hofner and keep looking.
So after acquiring my 6 string and realizing they were easier to play than I thought, the next logical step was to get a 5er since I’ve never owned one. Found a couple decent ones around in my budget but decided to make the wise decision of reaching out to @Al1885 to see what might be under the workbench and in need of a new home… pics this weekend when I get it home. I think I will name it Gabriel…
After Gabriel Landeskog the Swedish hockey player I presume?
Tell me you love Ice sports without telling me you love ice sports. Hahahahahaha
Process of elimination @Reasonably_Happy I guessed that with your moniker you didn’t live in one of the dumpster states. So I punted for Colorado
Unfortunately, I currently reside in the cesspool of SoCal. Not many people get my moniker but that’s the point. It’s a good conversation starter. Also not a big hockey guy myself. But you gave that one away. Lol
Cesspool might be a little heavy handed. We don’t have to shovel sunshine so that’s a plus.
So I bought a PreSonus Atom SQ and Faderport V2. They’re on a sale right now, plus Sweetwater was doing an additional 10% off Fender products, plus they had a demo Faderport for $20 less than the current sale price. Maximum savings achieved
I think George Carlin would approve. He has a bit on terms and one of them is how “more than happy” sounds like a dangerous mental condition
I thought about splashing out for an ioStation 24C, but it’s 2" wider than a Faderport V2 and I can’t find out if I can user the controller portion separately from the audio side. I was going to use it as a controller for my desktop, and both with a laptop, but how often do I do that? Basically never… so I saved the money… (and the Faderport matches the SQ )
@Koldunya, do you have group shots of all your gear?
You buy something like every other day!
It’s gotta be impressive. I bet you could probably open your own music store!
I’d say that’s a pretty safe bet.
In fact, I’d bet that without this here B2B forum and talkbass, the economy would be in a whole lot worse shape.
Fight inflation! Buy a ton of bass stuff!!!
I think it’s more Peter “Gabriel’ picked up the reference of a certain bass player “Tony”, lol.
Oooh… that reminds me. I need to build a Tony Levin patch in my M9…
I’ve been selling a lot lately. I don’t have much left to go at this point!
I’m in the middle of redoing my workspace (bought a few laptop stands to try out), I plan to take pictures once it’s all sorted again. Though there is a picture of my computer in the practice spaces thread and probably my synth-only Jam Station 2.0 I need new monitors for it, though; I though I could stand the noisy Eris E8s I put there on a “not always on basis” but it’s driving me crazy every time I power it on (via voice lol. “Alexa, turn on the jam station!”).
I started using Studio One a lot more lately, and with the current sale it made a lot of sense to get some of their products. Atom SQ does a TON and so does the Faderport. If the ioStation 24C had ADAT in/out I’d have likely got it and combined it with my 18i20, but it does not. While I love what Drive By Moss has done for Bitwig (and REAPER) controllers, the Atoms were made by PreSonus to work with their own DAW. I wish Bitwig would do something like Ableton’s Push
Man, Koldunya, your knowledge and experience with so much different gear and software is truly impressive.
Ditto! That’s like speaking another language. Very impressive.
Live from @Al1885 ’s front yard, it’s new bass day for me!! Meet… Tony Dart!
Not bad what falls off/under this gentleman’s work bench!! Thank you for all you hard work sir!
