I believe he played bass with the Beatles.
Actually Subbongo almost works
Well biggest hurdle to overcome is 2 octave neck.
Body wise it’s a little different as well. I do recognize that some creative liberty must take place.
I line up the nut in the same place and that’s the length difference on the neck
Body is a bit fatter especially on the horn. It’s definitely a great idea. Let me know if you need my participation, lol.
It will mostly be an “in the spirit of” project. If I was going to copy it the approach would have to be different, and certainly not domestic. Lol. The goal would be to get the look at a glance. Real Bongo players won’t be fooled and I have no intention of passing it off as something it’s not. Just a fun alternative for us Ray fans get creative and have fun with.
Sounds really cool.
hmm never saw the 2007 inlay
today was not a cheap day. here is a guitar amp from a brand I’ve always loved. it’s a Bad Cat Hot Cat 30. combo 1x12", 30w, all tubes obviously, hand made in the USA in 2007. killer amp.
So cool it’s Sub Zero!
Yeah, it’s a Limited Edition
How many amps do you have @terb ?
12 in my working/music room , and a few more (maybe 8) disassembled and stored in another room.
Wow! Looks cool. I have seen one with a white front plate. Seems like a good investment Terb
The level of want is preeeeeeetty high over here… after playing @Al1885 ’s I’m infatuated.
And the color…
Sell your soul, you know you want to
That would be a no. But I could maybe part with at least half my guitars, basses and pedals and get close to it.
this is why the good lord gave us Low Monthly Payments
I love Bongos. I’ll never own one and I’ve never even tried one, and I still love them.
Oh yeah, that looks sweet
Just thinking about this, I’ve never tried one either.
They are not really my thing but would love to check one out at least.
