Three months early…
Chase Bliss Generation Loss MKII gets the last spot on the board
Interesting you chose to do this with a pedal. LoFi is something you usually want to do to the whole mix, not just one track - unless you are a synth player anyway
I have a concept in my head of what I want to do and this was the “missing piece”. Yes, can do it all in a DAW post but that’s not my thing. Been really inspired by Lynch/Hurley Lynch/Badalamenti industrial soundscape type stuff.
The idea is to create a drum kit of industrial sounds recorded around, ominous bari sax stuff through the Chase Bliss, reverbs, and Lore pedals and then put Melodie’s through the C4 synth and Lore/Bliss in some combo or separate.
could be interesting
Worked great for electroindustrial (and for that matter, more mainstream stuff like Depeche Mode).
It’s funny how people look at these things differently. I don’t think of the DAW as “post”. It’s the center, and all of the elements of music production flow into it, where you combine them to actually make the song. The bass is just an instrument track you’re adding and editing.
I think that’s a pretty common view in music production (especially for electronic musicians).
New Fender Rumble 800 on sale at 20% off, as it’s been taken out of the box at the shop. Mint. Oh go on then. It’s an investment, right
Using the Sweetwater Gift Cards that were left in my stocking (in addition to the coal that was there) I received these today:
A pair of Kali LP-6 v2 monitors.
Nice @JerryP !
I love mine
Oh yeah! Nice @JerryP
Nice! Great choice and I think you’ll find they really add a lot of utility for both recording and just playing your bass through them. Will aound awesome with a nice amp sim.
Bought a new amp as a post-Christmas gift to myself A Fender Rumble 15 V3 Bass Combo - nothing that’ll blow the windows out, but just something for home practice and which is better than my previous 5W Nux Mighty…
Good small amp.
I like small amps for practice. I use an Orange 25 for just knocking around on my bass. Rumble 15 not a bad amp to play with
I have an Ampeg BA108. Good little noodling amp
Had the Rumble 25. Great little window rattler. When I’ve settled into my new place, I’m going to hunt for a 4x10 cab and a head with a clear tone to run my SH preamp through
I started to type my acquisitions since I started playing again last month and stopped because I was actually embarrassed about how impulsive I have been the past month or so.
Let’s just say I have a a real bad GAS problem. My New Years resolution will be to show some restraint when I see a bass or gear I like/ want/ think I need.
Don’t feel bad, it’s natural
Amen to that resolution. I hope you all the best.
Fortunately, I like many others here have incredible restraint, lol.
