It is, but do I chance a private seller on Reverb? He is at least in driving distance in Seattle

Other than that, Cort is kind of neat

Here’s the thing. I like Marcus electronics but it’s only offer on jazz bass fully active. I’m looking for a wider neck profile of a p bass but they only offer in passive, hmmm! Love the roasted maple neck and the burst the offer.

@DeadPixels thanks man that did it. I’m no longer getting the urge to GAS the contemporary designs my eyes tend to veer toward more classic design. I enjoy my fair share of the contemporary, Ken Smith, USA Tobias, etc.

Yes. Why not? If it’s not in a new condition then send it back. If he advertised it as new never used then it somewhere along that line if it comes roadworn we have a problem, lol.

How did you get that? It’s a blatant invasion of my privacy, I was having a moment, lol.

So if you can slow down time does that mean you can play Jaco’s Dona Lee in Slomo?

I don’t think it’s a cost thing, probably because Marcus is playing the signature jazz model but man, all but one model the 4 string neck at nuts are 38mm. Half my basses are already 38mm give me something different please, lol

I hear you, @Al1885.

Nut width = Comfort = More Playing

It’s all in what you prefer. Personally, all my basses are 38mm, except for the Cutlass at 41.5mm.

My left hand fingers need necks to be narrow, for sure narrower than the widest P. That’s also why 5-strings are non-starters for me.

It would change, mark my word. Before Covid I’ve never cared about the width and length I just played. Then one day while playing different basses on the same song, it hit me that I prefer one over the other. The more I try to ignore it the more I feel it.

My perfect example would be a flex in a bicycle frame, I rode for several years without knowing how it felt till one day I felt it as I was bottoming my shock, from then on I could feel every little frame flex.

It’s not to say that I don’t like the 38mm width they feel fast and nimble, it makes for a welcome change of pace every now and then.

I also always had feeling that 38mm is perfect for me. Till I tried Stingray with 43mm.

Also shape of the neck is big factor, regardless of nut width. I dont like skinny necks. I get cramps.

And importance of balanced bass when playing is huge.

No, the NT has the active MEC pickups, same as the MIG versions. You can tell by the gold text.

Oh, cool - I’d missed that.

nice! :ok_hand:
I really shouldn’t have sold that M2, that translucent blue is so so nice, I miss it

I think I’m gonna go this route, since I can’t find anything on these new standard Streamers with 2-band preamps and MECbuckers.

Now on to selling something.

This^^^

I had a beautiful new Sandberg California II VS4. I loved much about it, but I couldn’t keep it because its very thin neck cramped my hand terribly.
