This reminds me that JHS did a great vid on the bean ![]()
The old Line 6 gear is awesome. The Bass POD Pro sounds great today.
(hint: if you ever see a JHS vid with the title that something sucks, buy one immediately before the prices get jacked up)

Traded an amp for the black set and cash for the maple bits. Stripped all necessary pieces for my jungle kit conversion. 16 inch Tom converted to a kick drum. Ride, crash and splash mounted to the Tom. Updates soon. There are many holes to be drilled. And leftover shells to get rid off. End result hopefully will be similar to below…
Gassing a bit on the new compressor pedal from UA that includes the Teletronix LA-2A!
You had that in your HX Stomp but you sold it ![]()
Just read the spec sheet on that UA pedal, it also has the Dyna Comp which is also included in the HX Stomp ![]()
Does look nice though
Caveat: I genuinely have no idea how ‘close’ the Helix stuff is to the original compressors.
I won’t disagree ![]()
I love the ability to mount hardwares on the kick drum and save the floor space. Cool GAS @Reasonably_Happy
Hey, so, I got another Amazon gift card from my employers. Finally dropped the dime for a Zoom B1 FOUR. It should be here tomorrow. Woot, kinda excited about that.
Of course now I’m looking at vintage Rogers hardware and such. Never stops. Lol.
Also hoping to trade some pedals today. A Ray5 may be following me home. Possibly a solid state Marshall Lead 12 as well.
Ive made no secret of my Zoom love. Playing my G3 out tonight. I’ve been eyeballing the new version I may have to do it. Then I can let the Pod XT Live go and the old g3 as well.
I’ve seen some good reviews on the G1Four. You’ll have to tell us what you think @JustTim !!
The B1 Four is very nice. Lots to like. Some to say “WTF”?
Forewarned is forearmed: The UI is old-school arcane at first glance. But watching some decent YT vids should get you up to speed pretty quickly.
I really need to list my Zoom 1 B4
It’s just gathering dust
Recommend grabbing ToneLib Zoom. Lets you manage patches on your computer. Much nicer than the Zoom device interface.
About a third of the factory patches are good. However, probably 90% of the actual effects are great. It’s an amazing way to learn about pedal chains.
Stompbox mode + making your own chains is the way to go IMO, just ignore most of the factory patches. That said, the very first one is a nice usable SansAmp clone.
It’s here!
I’ve read enough of the manuals to hook it up and play through it for a minute. I’ve randomly hit buttons and stuff too. So far, I’m digging it. The tapping tone on, eh, group thingy 1 is awesome. I love the way it sounds, tapping, slapping, or plucking.
It has made me painfully aware that my Palmer Bass Pocket Amp/EQ has a buzz that neither the Zoom nor my Behringer DAI have. So that’s something to take into account. I love that I can plug headphones directly into it, it might render the Palmer redundant.
Anyway, I am exciiiiiiiiiiiiiited to dive into this thing in detail. Which includes all the software that’s been mentioned above and the like. Whee!
It does batteries too. Also, aside from my Sansamp SH-1, it has the best tuner I have had.
You’ll have to share what you find!!
I’m GASing for a Jam Pedals Bass Rattler. I keep looking for a good deal on a used one but haven’t seen one come up yet.
They are $230 new but I’ve seen them go for as low as $130 for a used one on TalkBass classifieds.
I’ve got a Jam Lucy Dreamer bass Drive that’s pretty nice. Haven’t seen a Rattler pop up or show up to try.
