Al’s Bass Bunker and Grill has a certain ring to it

To be honest, I think we would have to rent a truck unless we were just saving the 5 strings…

There’s been a small talk of building another shed for the “kids”, you should have seen the fear in my wife’s eyes, lol.

As if I don’t have enough difficulty fighting off GAS, I’d like to know who of you out there have multiple basses for the purpose of keeping different tunings. The idea of having 4 different basses for standard, Eb, drop D and drop C pleases me, but that’s a lot of money when I can just detune. Follow up question, if I were to do this I’m assuming each bass would need a whole new set up to constantly stay tuned in anything other than standard???

I have a 4 string flipped G D A E I play it upside down. I also have/ had a 5 string tune E A D G C but now that I have a 6 string I turned it back to standard. I have a few drop tuners installed but usually I just do a quick detune on E string for Eb.

Both Plugin Alliance and Waves were having sales on most of their stuff, so I picked up a 2 for $29.99 deal of the Ampeg STD-3 Pro amp sim and ADA STD-1 Stereo Tapped Delay. At Waves, I grabbed a V-EQ4 Vintage Equalizer for $29.99. I’ll be home in NJ for about a month so I’ll have some time to play with these new toys.

Thanks for the heads up @JerryP, I was able to get the Ampeg SVT3 Pro and Ampeg B15N at a reasonable price.

Well, 2.5 months ago started with buying an Ibanez SR305 and a Rumble 25W. Then realized I have to have a 4-string so I went sopping for a Squier Jazz bass 40th Anniversary (love the sunburst color). Then managed to join a band jamming (hopefully accepted az a permanent member, will see soon  ) and became obvious 25W with a 8" speaker is not the way. Meanwhile I have solved my historical Fibenare bass and spent the price on a Phil Jones C4 that arrived today; it’s accompanied by a TC electronic B Q250 amp (it has AUX in and phones out - main drivers as still need to practice some I guess even after completion of BassBuzz course officially as a badass :smiling_imp:
So my current setup is as seen on this picture:

Next step (as soon as Rumble 25W is sold) is to acquire a 1x 8Ohm 12"-15" cab to utilize full power of the amp (and add more bottom end I guess)

Perhaps I am alone here, but I have yet to be bitten by the GAS guy. I guess I just never felt like buying more sh*t would help me get better. One bass, one amp, and lots and lots of practice :man_shrugging:t2:

Not sure whether it is “gear”, but I have acquired it:

the EZ Line bundle from Toontrack.

I originally only wanted the drums and keys plugins, but the bundle was only marginally more expensive.

I think this is the kinda software/plugin that finally will ignite the creative spark again and let me compose music again in a meaningful way and produce my own tunes in Logic, whether as demos or fully produced tunes (hey, maybe with a guitar solo from Fiverr ), we’ll see.
I am currently somehow still caught in this loop:

But, seriously, these plug-ins are super well made, and it’s not so much the sampled sounds that I am mostly interested in, but the song-writing support they offer (with MIDI pack extensions and tons of grooves and riffs etc) and the fact that pretty much everything can be tweaked and warped and stretched to your heart’s content.

Pretty excited about it!

You are not alone.

We lurk here in the shadows.

I think there is a secret handshake.

If not, we should invent one.

Nice! I have been waiting for a good deal on EZdrummer. Not much luck on Black Friday either. So this a fine deal :ok_hand:

I don’t think they are very big on deals otherwise… But, they were super flexible - I had only bought EZKeys first and then changed my mind to get the bundle and they made that happen without any fuss.

This too shall pass.

It’s virtual gear. In this day and age, that counts.

You totally should!
