Potentially, from a grammatical point of view, it would just be “Glück(s)freude”, but Germans would probably think this to be too new age or woke a thing

Mitgefühl is more like empathy. Mit = with, Gefühl = feeling
Schaden = damage, Freude = Joy
Donaudampfschifffahrstgesellschaft = Company of steamboats of the Danube
but one could extend it to something like Donaudampfschiffahrtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswerkbauunterbeamtengesellschaft

I read a technical engineering report once that had both English and German translations formatted so you got a paragraph in German and then the same paragraph in English. Almost the entire first line of the first German was one compound word. It was fantastic, I wish I took a picture.

This is my last contribution since it really is off topic but not only words can be long, also sentences. Here a short story written by Franz Kafka in two sentences:

At the risk of further digression there is a Roberto Bolano novel - 2666 - that contains a sentence, in both the original Spanish and the translated English, that extends for around 10 pages. But it’s so well constructed you don’t notice until you come to the period at the end you’re like “Oh I haven’t seen one of those in a while!” It actually suits the subject which is the description of a dream and fits perfectly with that sort of run-on nature dreams so often have.

There is a name of a protein, referenced as titin for simplicity. Proteins are named for their amino acids, and the complete name for titin is something like 190,000 letters long, 12 pages typed out. I believe that’s the longest word. Or should be.
