Will let it warm up a bit before checking it out. Felt damn cold when I got it
Jeeez you now got 2 basses that I really really want
Grats!
Which one is the other ?
The pebble gray Sandberg? Or am I mixing you with someone else
Nah, that’s mine as well, but there’s some more I’ve got
I love the pebble grey one, very vintage sound. Perfect for playing the blues
I guess, I’ll have to post a family picture of my Sandbergs this weekend.
Lol, waiting for them to acclimatise when ya just wanna play is the worst
LoL! I’m no stranger to getting funny looks.
This is a good catch. Both were used gear. One was an older model. I’m not sure about the other.
The fan on my Rumble 800 almost never comes on.
You clearly need to play louder!
I agree! My apartment neighbors, unfortunately, do not.
True @eric.kiser the only time I really turn up my 800 is to keep our guitarist in check
That’s why I don’t. I just play and adjust it later if needed. No point at all in letting it sit around
And the SDS drill next door, as well as the bulldozer and jackhammer outside.
Does gear acquisition extend to scratch plates?
I love my Dingwall Combustion, but dang, the matt black scratch plate was dull and boring! So I commissioned this:
The image was the first deep field image from the James Webb space telescope. It shows stars, thousands of galaxies and gravitational lensing. It shows that even when we think the sky is dark and there is nothing there, if you look long enough and with the right technology, the dark is, indeed, full of light. And didn’t David Bowman said, “It’s full of stars”?
So why have I put this image on my bass? It reminds me that the universe is 13.8bn years old, our planet is 4.6bn years old, and in that grand sweep of time and amongst those billions of galaxies and trillions of stars, we are but a blink of the eye.
Life is precious, grab it, love it, live it, and play your bass, LOUD!
That is awesome!
New strings…Im trying out a BEAD tuning for first time on my 2nd P bass as a number of tunes I want to play are low alt tuning or 5 stringers (I don’t have one of those)
I like the silks, I only wish they were on the strings of my tape wound reggae bass (rather than one which will be playing mostly metal I suspect)
There are darkglass combo amps now
Not really shocked by the price tag, quite a lot of quality brands in that range
