GAS - Gear Acquisition Syndrome (Part 1)

I saw that John Achenbach pedal on their sale.
Was tempted by the Ripply Falls that he did but someone else blagged it while I thought about it.

Something truely unique for your pedalboard!

The store just got back to me. They made a mistake. The Sire P5 isn’t shipping until December. So they gave me a refund.
Oh my first world problems :joy:

GAS updates.

Some time ago, I posted that I ordered this: Harley Benton MB-4 SBK Deluxe Series – Thomann United States with a 1-2 week lead time. Now, 3 weeks in, they tell me that it won’t be in stock until July 30. So, I cancelled the order. I will buy myself a nicer bass when I finish B2B as a “graduation” present.

On a happier note, my Behringer 302USB mixer is ready for pickup at my local post office.

Now, for some p-pickups to upgrade the P-clone. I’m split between the EMG Geezers and Seymour Duncan Steve Harris ones.

A lot of guitars are out-of-stock right now.

Yes, but I don’t like shifting goal posts. Also, I’d be willing to wait, but not for a $130 beginner instrument that’s the Stingray-clone counterpart to my P-clone.

I am really interested in comparing all these P pickups.
I have on order the new Les Claypool ones for my red/gold bass.
Also now switching my Frank Bello bass from passive to his active pickups (the ones found in the $4000 version of my $800 version.

Once I move my sims pickups out of the Ray4 testbed, my plan is to try out different P’s and both of these are on the list.
Don’t forget about the quarter pounders too…so many pickups!

OMG - I’m tempted to get a project bass going if only to get a set! LOL

Sorry! I meant to answer this and eventually thought I had! LOL

It’s the Markbass 152 SH cab. 2x15" with an adjustable tweeter. The head - S.T.U. 1000 - is on backorder.

NB: this is NOT intended for use as a practice amp. No AUX input and no headphone output. My neighbors would force me to move!! LOL

I’m assuming you are using it to move earth for a new pool in the backyard then?

Soooooo, I had some time to kill today, so I wandered into my favorite music store with a promise to myself not to spend any money. After an hour of yacking with the staff, I walked out with this:

It’s a rolling guitar stand for 5 instruments. There’s plenty of room for my 3 basses and my one 6 string guitar.

@John_E no Aero this time, but a Fender player series P Bass in Tidepool is on it’s way. It was pretty much the same price new, as people are asking for used MIM P basses on reverb!

Can’t go wrong with a P Bass. I almost got a Jazz in Tidepool

Hope she serves you well

Come on @chordsykat, get on the bus!

My red Vintera is essentially a MIM Player and I really dig it.
Enjoy @Barney !1

There’s something amazing in a blue P with a maple neck. Yum!

I have one exactly the same sat on my very crowded rack right now.
Did you know you can fit 8 basses comfortably on a 5 bass rack :joy:

I was doing great with the long weekend, mine started on Friday. I bought a few caps and some bass T-shirts(matching) for the family.

All fell apart horribly on Sunday night, lol, picked up a Tony Franklin fretless neck, then went on a roll and picked up a Status graphite Jazz neck. Thank god Monday night arrived soon enough so I put a Fretless MusicMan graphite neck to rest. If not I’d picked it up too, lol.
