My friend asked me to buy him the Höfner Shorty (as he’s not good with online stuff): Höfner Shorty Violin Bass BK – Thomann United Kingdom but in brown.
As it was delivered today, I set it up for him (extremely off intonation and sky high action sorted out) I thought let’s take it for a ride 
Now here’s a picture of the stuff, very pretty:

It’s tiny and featherweight (but huge neck dive due to no “horn” available) but sounds incredibly nice even with stock strings. Sample posted to the “Covers” topic 
Will give it to the owner tomorrow.
I believe I could enjoy such a bass for myself as well
