That’s exciting! Which pickguard does yours have?
I just ran Sandberg’s configurator for a mahogany with a parchment pickguard and emailed Doctorbass in Burgos, Spain to see if they could order one now instead of waiting for many months. We shall see.
The Florence bass sounds awesome in that video!
I’ll know in a few hours, because of those three sweet words, “Out for Delivery”. But I expect the typical tortoiseshell, which is among my least favorite, but at least with the bass color it won’t clash. And I can always paint it or get a custom made
That’s one of the things that sold me is the bass sounds versatile, or at least enough for my vibe. Patrick Hunter did a review and it rocks out too.
It will be my first plek’d bass too, and has a zero fret. Lot to like

I’ve been playing around in the McGrath bass builder tool. I thought I might actually consider one if I could make up my mind on how I would actually want it customize it. So many options and sadly no way to test it before spending the money. My top considerations are doing a Thunderhorse style with TB/Reverse P/MM pickups or two TB pickups in the Pbass or Jbass style body.
Not even close. It would take a dozen dozen more to get anywhere near @Al1885’s inventory amount.

They have quite a few different bass demos on youtube. I’m sure there’s no way you can really screw up a build. I just can’t decide what combo of pickups I would be happiest with. Given the price I feel like I’d need to be very sure

Beat me to posting this. Me personally, I don’t like the reverse headstock on the Florence. I like the new finish, but not nearly enough to regret just ordering the mahogany Florence with the standard headstock.
