That’s a really nice setup.
Exactly what I need to ‘complete’ my board, well I already have a looper but do need (GAS) the delay
ooh RIP ToneX
Well…I held out longer than I thought I would…
Blu DeTiger Signature Jazz Bass
Unfortunately, it got banged up in shipping and there is a dent in the body where my arm rests! Ugh, why do shippers body slam boxes around?
I’ve worked out an additional discount with the seller and now I’m on the fence if I should slap a tiny bit of clear coat nail polish on the spot or just let it fly as-is.
Hoping to feature this bass in a cover post in the next couple days.
It’s a beautiful bass. Looking forward to some of that cheesey pizza funk
After today’s Zoom call… I have this in my shopping cart.
That’s my next investment. Dropping an email tomorrow.
M6 is an interesting choice. Why it over the M4 or M2? Regardless, Mark of the Unicorn is a good brand, that’s essentially up on top of the consumer-priced audio interfaces.
If you need 6 inputs and don’t already have one, I would instead suggest to go for a mixer with a built-in audio interface (these are common now).
It’s basically… paranoia… and playing it safe. Keeping power source away from PC or Laptop, after the experience with the 2i2. I don’t need the M6… M2 would be sufficient… but they don’t have external power unfortunately.
I second the mixer w/ built in DAI. You’ll have enough inputs for you and your daughter to plug in, and I think you’ll have more luck with finding ones with external power.
Yeah I ordered it when I saw it on my feed. $30 shipping though to me anyways.
It looks like it could be a good companion device if you want to run an all digital pedalboard (for things like running 2 reverbs or comps), and I might pick one up for that but I think I’d still prefer one of the higher end units as a main driver. I was debating picking up an HX One, Stomp, or an Ampero stomp for that after New Years so this might be worth keeping an eye on and seeing how it does for bass.
Yeah, I’m not gonna ditch my Stomp for it, but I kinda want one just to mess around with it. With effects, tuner, looper, drum machine/metronome, and DAI functionality, though - it could serve a lot of purposes for somebody just starting out who didn’t want to spend a lot on it.
ETA: Apparently you can plug it into your phone/tablet too.
Having only seen the one video clip about it, this might be a better choice for getting into effects than the B1four, which is getting long in the tooth at this point. At least the HB looks like it’s got a modern interface that will be recognizable if they decide to upgrade to a line6, Quad, Ampero, Headrush, etc.
Only if HB adds bass patches in the future. Right now most of the presets sound like playing bass on a guitar amp. But then again for that price you get a lot of goodies…
Very interesting especially when compared to this very similar one.
(Wife offered it to me last year… not unhappy with it)
