GAS - Gear Acquisition Syndrome (Part 2)

I see the benefits of gaming as it helps reset the brain a bit

Games have overtaken cinema in terms of being a far more expressive and immersive storytelling environment, and are IMO the most important current media for this.

Interactive fiction >> static fiction

The only reason I am getting out for now is I need me some focus.

If you don’t mind my asking, why did you send it back? I mostly want it for the library of Boss pedals to play with. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of options for bass amps but I like my preamp / DI so that wasn’t an issue for me.

@sunDOG Did you see he finally got his bass back?

Ha!! I wonder if he paid the £16k for it?

I sent it back with the intent of getting a different modeler/multi effects pedal but I kind of regretted sending it back and am torn between getting it again or still getting something else. It’s definitely not the most robust list of amp options but of the ones they have there are some solid options. I got some decent tones out of it and was happy with it overall for both bass and guitar

Now that I bought it, I kind of wish I had spent the extra hundred for the GX-100 for the extra foot switches. Looking at getting the BT adapter and wireless MIDI controller and that leaves me with fewer switches for more money. I do like that it takes up less space on a board though.

The bluetooth adapter is great for so many things. I wish it was built in but even if you got the 100 I’d recommend having the adapter

Maybe he got an original owner discount (plus he got the shop some publicity in his video)

Found this roland tr8s for a sweet deal locally, now to try to figure out how to make some beats.

Any suggestions for a good pair of monitors/speakers that are decently priced?

That’s a fantastic game. I’m even more excited for the sequel.

Yes, there is. So I went back to the second hand store and checked out the Yamaha. Much better shape than the Tribute. Two small dings on the body and a scratched electronics cover plate (no big deal). It’s made in Indonesia. Tomorrow I’m going to go back with my Katana Go and a pair of headphones and give it a test ride. Exchange rate puts it at $328.00 with soft case.
I need to learn self control.

Yep. All TRBX, and all BB except the BBNE and BBP (i.e. yours) are made in Indonesia; the BBNE, BBP, and TRB-JP II are made in Japan.

That’s not what this thread is about :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Just gonna say that the TRBX604 was my main bass for years and is one of the best feeling basses I have ever owned. Just a great overall instrument. Outstanding pickups and electronics too.
