Ok from time to time people have mentioned bass players singing… Have you heard of the Grass Roots… while all sang " lead" unless you watched a video you wouldn’t know that multiple singers sang the lead. For the most part the bass player got things going. also while the bass lines were cool there is so much room for your interpretation of it… I mean if that is what you are into you can be a super star Lead Bass player on most of their songs… not my style but even with my limited ability I can improvise and still sound good. Not that I’m better than them but they had a flexibility" to their songs…They are a way overlooked group.
