Had cubital tunnel surgery and I need your guidance

Hello there, bass enthusiasts! This is your boy, Nyland Sidifall, coming back again with a question for the crowd.

I recently had cubital tunnel surgery on my strumming hand, and now I’m almost 2 weeks out. I’m a little scared to play, so that’s why I’m focusing more on theory and ear training.

For those that have had that surgery, what did it look like going back to the instrument, and what did you do to prevent this from happening on your other arm?

For context, I had the surgery on my right arm.

Thanks a bundle!

To me the best way to ease into it after my ligament surgery was to start the course at the beginning and reestablish the muscle memory

Follow your doctors advice and go slowly. The last thing you need is to be one step forward and two or more backwards.
