Back in High School in some small town in Tennessee …with a name ending in …ville, my friend Sam and I hung out together, went to concerts, and even worked together for a while. Then went our separate ways to start life out on our own.
We haven’t actually seen each other in more than 40 years, but quickly approaching my 60th birthday I decided to finally start playing an instrument, picking the bass guitar and when I got the bass home, I photographed it, and posted it on Facebook. Sam saw this Facebook post and couldn’t believe it. He, also approaching his 60th birthday decided to do the very same thing. We even both signed up for this course without the other knowing!
Now we’ve spent hours on the phone, catching up and re-igniting our friendship.
I arrived at 60 years old last month, and I thought it would be fitting to wish him a very happy 60th, here!
