To everyone celebrating Thanksgiving today, here’s to family, good friends, all the good things for which we are fortunate, and sharing time with one another.
For those not in the States, the forum provides lots of friends and camaraderie every day, and I’m thankful for that every day. Cheers!
Yes, festive greetings to everyone here…
In keeping in touch with friends and family, one sent me a rare photograph of the first Thanksgiving Pilgrims… I share it with you too:
We made, well mainly I did most of the work, spatchcock Turkey and gravy, Sage sausage stuffing and sage sausage gravy. Freshly baked biscuit, I’m still suffering from the food coma today. We close the restaurant today and I’m making the congee from the turkey today with some soft-boiled eggs, the kids will be going to sleep early tonight from yet another food coma.
Yummy! Never spatchcocked a turkey before but it’s the only way I grill chicken any more. Ever tried fermenting your own hot peppers? Ridiculously easy
Happy American Thanksgiving! Hope you’re enjoying delicious gravy-soaked leftovers while my left arm recovers from my first run-in with Billie Jean (OW).
