hahaha totally
Happy Turkey everyone.
Off for a nap.
Yeah, happy Thanksgiving everyone. I have no input on cooking a turkey, but I sure can eat the hell out of one.
Happy Thanksgiving
to my American friends… even though you do Turkey Day over a month late ![]()

We’re not late, we’re just not on the metric system.
did a nice spatchcocked turkey, overnight dry brine, and the secret for amazing skin: rubbing mayo all over it just before roasting. sounds weird but works amazing.
That would explain why our Thanksgiving is mid-October, and all the European harvest festivals are in August/September. It’s because we’re on the semi-metric system.
All we get is Black Friday sales, which is apparently a thing now
“now”?
They usually start in late October these days ![]()
Straya mate, we are always a bit behind
Is that why you were late to WW2?
ouch!

We thought you would have it sorted but in the end someone had to win, so…
We all know I’d probably be speaking German if it wasn’t for you guys ![]()
I recently read The Man in the High Castle so that remark has weight. Interesting idea.
Based on my trip to Japan this year and how absolutely ingenious / clever / smart / high tech everything there is, I actually think we would have all ended up speaking Japanese instead of German!
gooble gobble
we accept you
Happy TD!!
I love the fact that we do both imperial and metric. Especially yards and feet I would hate to play golf and shoot in meters , lol.
