did a nice spatchcocked turkey, overnight dry brine, and the secret for amazing skin: rubbing mayo all over it just before roasting. sounds weird but works amazing.

That would explain why our Thanksgiving is mid-October, and all the European harvest festivals are in August/September. It’s because we’re on the semi-metric system.

Based on my trip to Japan this year and how absolutely ingenious / clever / smart / high tech everything there is, I actually think we would have all ended up speaking Japanese instead of German!

I love the fact that we do both imperial and metric. Especially yards and feet I would hate to play golf and shoot in meters , lol.
