Has anyone

My first question is, has anyone got one of these Squier by Fender Affinity Series Electric Precision Bass Guitar, Maple Fingerboard, Olympic White. I know there are others and people will be proud of what they have, but I have always wanted one that looks like the classic punk bass.

Secondly what is a good beginner distortion box so it’s a bit more of a sound when you are playing on your own. Many thanks

I’ve had mine for a little over a year. I think it was bass #3 in the order that I bought it, but it is still my favorite to play out of 11 different (current) others.

Admittedly, I swapped a few things. But I love the way it feels when I play it.

For distortion I would get a Zoom B4 multi effects pedal. It has a lot of function and its cheap. Not great at much but good at a lot and you can try stuff out for a small investment

Definitely a bass rite of passage.

Lots of good practice sized amps like the Rumble 40 have an onboard overdrive feature.

Thank you for that

I’ve got the affinity Jazz bass so I can’t speak to the exact bass you went but for the price I’m happy with the quality. The setup out of the box was decent and got better with my adjustments. The tuners feel cheap but they work perfectly fine. The fretwork isn’t as clean as my better basses but it’s perfectly playable.
