This was a very enlightening topic for me to start my day (sips coffee). Now, I’m wondering if I’ve been pronouncing the name of my ESP LTD correctly.
Rickenbacker is often pronounced wrong by some
Ricken-bach-er is wrong.
Ricken-back-er is correct, just like its spelled.
and FWIW, esspresso is not EXpresso
One of my colleagues always says Expresso. I think he does it to annoy me. And boy, does he succeed.
Okay, I’ll play …
etcetera is pronounced, et-set-er-uh not ex-set-er-uh as I hear people say way too often.
I’m glad you aksed that question…
Drives me right up the wall.
@Barney that may be my single favorite response on the whole forum. Photo saved and will completely overused in my daily life.
I was coming back here to mention how Rickenbacker is pronounced in the video.
And now I want another esssssspresso.
SPUD!
“Oh yes! Cause like I’m a bit of a perfectionist, actually. Yes, I am. See, for me it’s got to be the best or is nothing at all. Like, things get a bit dodgy I just cannot be bothered. But here I’ve got good vibes about this interview thing today, mate.”
Although espresso does have that “expresso” effect!
Well, let’s not go nucular over it!
