Lol, that’s a good skill to have. It took me a long time to shoot with both eyes open.
No OP did not say specifically what kind of headphones but WAZA air bass is the only one that could fit the bill with the low latency. The rest is just a no go. Oh yeah, he did say wired is a must,
I don’t always get along with in-ear phones. I had Bose QCII earbuds that were a nightmare to keep in my ears when lifting. The first pair I had shit themselves after six months and Bose sent me a new pair under warranty. The second pair then started going south after three months and I demanded a refund.
I then switched to AirPods Pro and they wouldn’t stay in my ears once things started getting real in the gym. I did some research and it’s apparently a common problem and memory foam ear tips are the answer. I’ve found ones I’m happy with and they’ve transformed my AirPods.
Yep, wired is a must. I posted here last year about practice amps and a few people mentioned about the latency when using bluetooth phones for practice.
Best hifi headphones I ever bought was the Sennheiser 599 HD. Think you won’t regret any of their products.
For anything studio related I use my Beyerdynamics DT900 Pro X. I also got some IEM from Fender which are suprisingly good. Got them for dead cheap since it was the last of that serie.
Got way too many headphones. Also have some wireless ones which I share with my son
I have so much Bose stuff, it’s not funny; home cinema, about six SoundTouch speakers, PC speakers, Sound Bar in the bedroom, various headphones, SoundLink mini on my desk at work, etc. I wouldn’t buy anything now, though. Quality has gone down the pan and they’ve moved their customer services to Asia*.
I demanded a refund after my second pair of QCII went tits up. They initially refused and passed me around the houses, promised to call back and never did. I reminded them that in the UK they had a legal obligation to do so and they eventually relented. I was told i’d have my money in 25 working days. Two weeks after that period elapsed, I chased them and they made me wait another two weeks.
*this is not intended as being derogatory in any way. The problem I had was that whilst people could speak English, they didn’t understand it. As an example, when I informed them of their obligation to refund me, I was given a load of nonsense off a script that was irrelevant to the point I was trying to get across before finally being connected with a supervisor. Even then, I was left on hold for inordinately long periods of time. There was a time when Bose had a call centre in a lot of countries, so that people were almost guaranteed to speak to someone with a common mother language. Not now.
I cannot comment on that cause of NDA. But … true!
If you know since when APTX was promised for the QC2 and why they released the Ultra so quickly, you can imagine what’s happening internally…
Its still only AAC. Apple does not want to support APTX and is quite delayed with their own hires Bluetooth protocol. They have no real love for good audio - otherwise they would have bought Sennheiser, not f#cking Beats!
And I don’t wanna live in a world where I cannot have at least APTX quality Bluetooth streaming on my wireless headphones!
listened to the earfun wave pro’s last night and am very happy with their performance. they sound great and the feature set is very nice on these. i can recommend.
In all fairness they are tune to sound pretty awesome at home. I have a couple of their devices, the Bluetooth speaker and my favorite the iPod station.
The Sennheisers have arrived. I gave them a quick test-drive and I’m more than happy with the sound but that curly cable is a PITA. I used my bass strap to support the weight of it so it doesn’t pull - problem solved.
