Headphones for Bass Practice

I always lean back to hear the difference!

Let me prepare a normalized MP3, M4A/AAC and a FLAC in 44.1Khz and hires (88K, 96K or 192K for you. Only, if you want, of course…
I will put in on a cloud and send the link to you, for you to enjoy & compare.

I am thinking “Nothing else matters” by Metallica, but I’m sure I’ll find a good track that is more to your taste!?

PS Unfortunately my hearing is also not as good as it used to be. When I analyze & EQ my speakers I cannot hear the high sweep, while my girlfriend (who is much younger and has surely bat DNA) suffers from the high pitched sound.

I envy here and I feel utter desperation cause of the loss of any frequency. Humans are supposed to hear 20-20Khz. I don’t feel whole anymore…

Sure, I’ll take the test. Perhaps with something a little more vigor or edge like St. Paul by Cory Wong. I like Cory, his music seems to have 12 additional tracks or more with sounds effects for exploration.

I understand.

Need a hires track though - it’s fun to go through the iterations MP3, OGG, FLAC and 44.1/16bit to 192Khz/24bit.

Ok, I find it fun!

I’ve got the 598 open backed ones. 2-4 hours a night for 3 years.

Flawless.

I have the drop Sennheiser open back headphones that I really really like. No idea how similar they are to main line Sennheiser though.

Sounds?
Exactly the same just couple more plastic pieces and cheaper packaging. I have the 6xx

Burn in is the tone wood of headphones. The only thing you’re going to “burn in” is your brain

Here’s the only Texas hat that’s represented anything I respect.

Scroll up to where @Whying_Dutchman discusses how Americans have physically large heads

Is he back this season?

He’s doing occasional commentary for Sky. Not at Haas anymore.

I did some research on this topic actually and it seems as though the average head circumference in the US is 55cm for females and 57cm for males, whereas in the UK it is 55.2cm and 57.2cm respectively. So it would appear our European forum members are actually the big heads

More concerning is how everyone is getting fatter. 27% of the UK is obese. That’s a sad fact to read.

Wow, Colorado (my state) has the same rate as Germany.
