Hello BassBuzz BadA$$ Members

Hello Hello ,

Wishing you all the best as this would be my personal 4th year anniversary here in the Bass Buzz World. Saw this ( Followers

Last March was the one year Anniversary of our band Big Swig Colorado , was lucky enough to be one of the students featured in Josh Man’s video about real students , and this forum has helped me tremendously over the years.

I purchased a travel bass amp , solar battery bank , and a 5 string Bass through this forum and because of all of YOUR reviews. Thank You

This Labor Day Weekend we will be wrapping up our Summer Tour in a nice little neat bow. 1st , we are performing at a local winery this Friday Night and then a town “closing” party as they will be shutting down for the winter on Monday that Labor Day. Looking forward to that show for sure as the locals up there really like to get rowdy during these closing day celebrations. Then , we are one of the 18 featured acts at Porchilla this October 5th. And that’s it for 2024.

We have labeled ourselves as smooth classic rock , tasty originals , and classic country trio. We currently spice up our sets with 2-4 originals per set. We have 14 originals as well in just over a year of playing together. Our plan over this winter is to add chords and what nots to songs we have written this Summer but have yet to perform live. Way Cool

So anyway , will be posting a few more videos here on Bass Buzz after this weekend. Hopefully you are inspired by this four year update. And if you are ever traveling through Colorado , Please Let Me Know.

Stay Strong , Be Kind , And Tickle That G String With Your Pinky,
Cheers

P.S. Our band photo would NOT load because of heic file?? Any Clue??

heic files are an Apple proprietary format. Most Forums, including this one, only accept jpeg files. You should be able to convert them somewhere like this:

There are many other online converters.

Love this update, and yes - inspired.
Them Colorado folk really love music. I’ve had some great times out there! Keep up the great work, I say.

Definitely inspired. My day job means I won’t ever be a touring musician but my goal is to find some folks to rock with around town.

I may not be the most unbiased person as far as Colorado but hell yeah, there are so many good smaller venues around the metro area for music. I’ll be headed downtown tonight to Mission Ballroom (my favorite of the Denver venues) for a show.

Share from the Photos app will convert it to jpg. I usually share to gmail.

Thanx @Gio , we do love hanging out and listening to live musicians. Funny enough , poured brews during The Beach Boys concert the other night for some righteous coin. Ringo arrives in GJ on the 10th of September and hopefully I will be asked to work that one as well.

Excellent news there @faydout !! I am over here on this side of the divide. I am a big fan of the Mission but not all that stoked on the concrete flooring there. Would have loved to have see Stray Cats a few weeks back.

Be Well ,

Thanx @howard ,

Kind of caught me off guard as I have shared a number of photos in the past. I was wondering if the format / upload here had changed and I missed it. All of my photos in my library are jpg but the processes on my end somehow became fouled up.

No Biggie,

@travis.thepadre.reed

Don’t know if you saw this post from above, but it’s the fix for your photos.

Or just have the iOS Photos app automatically convert it for you via sharing. Very easy.

That works. But for posting jpgs on the forum when using a laptop or desktop, it’s quick to use the free online converter et voila!

Great to hear you’re playing, @travis.thepadre.reed, and having fun!

I hope to go on a road trip through the US sometime, and now I have to swing by Colorado, too. Will definitely say hi if possible, but it could be a few years before I make it over the pond. :hugs:

You can find the information about who is following you in your profile summary. Just click your profile picture on the forum, then the lowest icon in the list that popped up and the summary. From there, you can access the following/follower information.

As to the reason why… :person_shrugging:

Just for funzies, I am now following @travis.thepadre.reed

I also don’t know why and want to declare it’s just on the forum, you can sleep easy.

I think it just means that you will get a notification whenever they post anything. But I could well be wrong!

U Bet @MikeC ,

The converters definitely work and have their place in the World Wide Web. Remember the old YouTube to MP3 converters? That Takes Me Back

This was just odd to me as photo uploads here on Bass Buzz was NEVER an issue until this post. No Biggie

Be Well ,
