Hey anyone know how to get old tuners?

Hey folks

My old Defil is now up and running but the tuners are desperately in need of repair or replacement. They seem a little non-standard - the items in question are closed and have two mounting screws (bit like a Hofner).

Anybody know where I might be able to find such vintage tuners? I think these were produced by a firm called Muza in the 1970s / 1980s but I reckon any two-screw tuners will do (if there is such a thing). Alternatively, could I use tuners with a different mounting e.g. like with four screws?

It’s not so much the screw but the tuning peg hole size. Screw merely provide the resistant to the torsional force. So one screw is enough. I’d check out the diameter and length of your current set up and go shopping.

Top of my list would be the Ratio Tuner by GraphTech, but Gotoh would be just as awesome.

Everyone else brings me questions, but you bring me answers  . I’ll definitely leave this to the luthier :+1:
