Has anyone here experience with producing your own backing tracks? Maybe with GarageBand or so? If so, do you have any suggestions to share how this can be done? How would you create a simple chord sequence?
I don’t produce my own, but use Moises to split MP3s of songs I want to work on. That way, I can play along with the original, minus the bass track. Works really well.
Yes, I’ve tried that as well. Works really well. However, in that case, I was looking for a simple way to play over a chord sequence.
It’s just that a find the GarageBand guitar a bit clunky. Maybe I should just record the guitar track myself. Is probably easier… As long the guitar part is simple enough.
Yes, in that my friend and I don’t use backing tracks at all, but we cover the whole song.
I was originally a synth player though and have years of experience in MIDI programming for drums and so on, so this was the natural path for me.
Another option is Logic Pro now has the automated AI generated “Session Players” accompaniments, like they have long had the Drummers.
