Sounds very pleasing on that amp too! Love the stripes
My buddy and I have sold this guitar back and forth to each other multiple times over the last few years. But it’s home to stay.
Looks great!
I am having some truly terrible ideas today about “just running by Ikebe.”
Run, Howard, run!
Now I can’t get that picture out of my head…
Trying to GAS-tempt others with a guitar you want is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you’ll get
Hunted these beauties down on my local marketplace. An OG Fender Strat and Tele. Maple fretboards and bright colours are my favourite combinations
For playability these two already surpass my other guitars. For anything metal I use my Jackson in drop D tuning.
Howard, I blame you for my Tele GAS
Hope you get your Revstar!
same !
two real beauties, I love everything about them also the fact that the Tele is an Esquire
Stuuuuuning!
Nice Tele! Where’s the neck pickup?
I really like single cut guitars. I see one in my future.
that’s an Esquire = a Tele without neck pickup
Me too!

Howard, I blame you for my Tele GAS
Hope you get your Revstar!
I’ve got a baaaaad feeling about this…
I also almost couldn’t decide if I liked the dual P90’s better than my usual double humbuckers. But then I noticed the P90 models don’t have the racing stripe, so problem solved
I have 2 guitars with a P90 (neck) and a HB (bridge)
That’s a nice combo; one of the Pacificas I tried was like that. Keeps the advantage of the bridge humbucker while having a really sharp and clear neck pickup.
I think I like the P90 because it sounds sort of like a cross between a humbucker and a single coil. Still thick and rich but with single coil clarity and detail.
I’ve thought about trying to do the Esquire wiring mod on one of my basses. Has anyone ever done it? My Esquire is a blast and I feel like it would be super useful on a bass too

yeah, I’d say that the frequency spectrum is close to a HB, but the dynamics is clearly the one of a SC. also, as for other types of pickups, there are (very) good and (very) bad P90’s.
I have 3 P90’s : 2 from the french brand Custom 77, which are far better than the Gibson in my opinion, and an overwound Bareknuckle which is … a Bareknuckle

Esquire wiring
I don’t like the “neck” position on an Esquire, but the two other ones are useful as I like to be able to switch from a preset on the tone control, to a full-power tone.
I was thinking of using the “neck” position to switch the capacitor value for the tone control, it seems more useful to me than the dull fixed circuit.
