I don't know why i care about this

but this question got stuck in my head and now I can’t get it out. if you like anything dark and gothy and you go looking for it on YouTube, it won’t be long before you run across this AI girl with a passing resemblance to someone famous :joy:

and I don’t know if this one is any good or not but some of these aren’t half bad for AI music. so as i looked around more, what I soon found is that this exact AI creation is on about 30 different channels. so the question is, are people buying this AI girl and putting it on their channel? a lot of these channels seem to be mostly for Russian audiences. or are they all just ripping each other off and posting it illegally, that doesn’t seem likely as they would be taken down. is there one single creator creating multiple channels with this girl? what is happening here.

I need to see the lower end to decide.

AI is as far as I can tell, highly immoral in the vast majority of uses. I’d try my best to avoid giving it any attention.

I actually wouldn’t assume the music is AI - this is fairly standard House. I am not surprised that the same video model is being reused at all. I mean, it’s good.

Different channels doesn’t mean they come from different sources. It may be the same AI slop mill creating multiple channels to flood the zone and make it more likely to get monetized. Especially because it’s increasingly common for people to block channels they recognize as AI. This lets them get around that.

Even if they are different slop-vendors, they may be using the same generation tool, and that tool has been reinforced to give this model.

AI is basically a plagiarism machine. I have several friends (and my husband) who have written academic books and articles that have been used to train AI. It has stolen their hard work without recompense. AI videos and music are no different.

Machine learning has its place with datasets that are generated for a particular project, like certain medical research. Once it just steals material wantonly, it’s unethical, but no one seems to care.

i think you are correct

Honestly I have no problem with this.

That mix is pretty standard deep house/dark techno, not bad at all. It may or may not be AI but it’s not fundamentally different than a lot of other music in the genre. Sure, the video is AI generated, but it’s also not terrible, despite being a little targeted at horndogs, and it’s not as if it’s any more so than a million other trashy trance videos.

yeah, The thing that surprised me is most of this stuff is actually pretty damn good. The only time that it’s obviously AI generated music is if there’s lyrics involved. because you have not heard cheesy until you have heard AI trying to do goth lyrics cheesy

she tends to come in varying amounts of clothing in these videos, I chose the above because it’s one of the tamer ones
