Hello i was wondering does the 2605 is a good 5 string bass ? I have the opportunity to get one for 900€. I was also wondering if the M5-M7 were a better choice for like gospel funk metal music

The Ibanez SR premiums (like that one) are outstanding instruments and in general will be a step up from the normal production Sire lines in a few ways (wood choices, look/style depending on taste, etc).

Whether or not it is better for gospel I can’t tell you.

Yes. Excellent bass. It’s a boutique level sound gear bass. The lower level sr basses are awesome so this one has to be on another level.

I haven’t played the SR2605 but i have an SRMS806 and it’s a nice bass, plays and sounds great. I like the BTB lineup better but it’s got a wider/flatter neck.

I have a sire M7 ash 5st and it’s great too, i see a lot of people online who play gospel with the M series so it’ll definitely work for that. The sire has a very flexible preamp, i expect that both bases can sound pretty similar.
