If you ever wondered if pickup position made a difference

One of my future project ideas is to have a bass body with a rail system and long cutout so that I can have multiple pickups that can vary like the Gibson Grabber
I just discovered that someone else went about it in a slightly different way.
If you ever wondered just how much difference pickup position made, wonder no more:

on the Grabber, the pickup position certainly makes a difference, but the sliding range is short. it would be great to make a similar system with a more extreme range.
