Hey, you’re walking down the street with your bass in its case and no one knows you have a beautiful Jazz bass with a Marty Bell green metal-flake finish inside. With a Carlton Case people just might stop and say “Hey, what do you have in that thing?”
Other than that, hundreds of color combinations available, but unless I win the lottery…

Rule number one of gigging, use the cheapest looking case or gig bag. Branded case get swiped first regardless of what’s inside
