AND grooves! Some classic tunes that greatly helped define an era.
Yes, it did and it still does.
I was already hurting when my Dad passed away a month before Bowie did. They both passed away shortly after their birthdays.
A few months later I found myself in Reykjavik, Iceland and went to a David Bowie memoriam at the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Center.
(Ian, Dwayne, etc)
Not a bassist but besides directing some terrific movies, he was a guitarist.
i did not like a single movie that guy ever made. except eraserhead. which might be in my top 5 of all time? seriously, i have read books on the making of it. weird.
RIP david lynch. such a huge huge loss. what a truly prolific and visionary artist. i’m genuinely gutted about this one.
RIP to my most favorite artist/fimmaker/TM ambassador. A sad day for the world of Lynch.
As his family said in their statement:
“Keep your eye on the donut, not the hole” - David Lynch
Jesus. This timeline is so damn weird it even killed David Lynch!
Scott Ian of Anthrax posted a photo on IG of a letter from Lynch apologizing for a scene Scott shot that didn’t make a movie. Lynch was a gentleman
Garth Hudson, the last living member of the Band, has passed.

Garth was a key reason (see what I did there) that the Band was among the best in rock and American roots music, and one of my favorites.
This group might particularly appreciate this quote from the article, about his electronic organ:
“ A gearhead and tinkerer by nature, he customized the instrument (perhaps most importantly with a pitch-shifting device), and it became the keystone of his sound.”
Not Garth !!!
Thats A Rough One For Sure. Did Not See This In My World So Thanx ( @david.addis ) For Posting It Here
Play On Mr Hudson
The Band, one of my favorite bands.
One of the more poignant stories was when Robbie went to visit Levon during Helm’s last days:
a great talent and not an easy life.
