Oh cool, I actually live in Lebanon, right next to Mason. Moved up from Cincinnati a year or so ago. And yeah that Elm St/Over The Rhine area is still “half-gentrified,” so it’s a pretty strange dynamic with the trendy arcade bars and gastropubs sprinkled among the boarded up windows and heroine dealers. I’m still exploring but overall it’s a cool city, I’ve always had fun going out. Seems like there’s a ton of local musicians between Cincy and Dayton as well.

I worked for Makino, which is right across the highway from kings island (is that the right name). We had a company dinner at that Top Golf one year, that place is cool. I couldn’t beleive a phone app game came to life there. Of course, the real life may have come first, but I am from California, so what the hell do I know :joy::joy::joy:

Hello all!

This is my long delayed self introduction:

Name is Fahri, originally from Istanbul(Turkey) but living in Milan (Italy) and working as an electronics engineer.

My bass is my very first instrument and quite recent at that, as my artistic background comes from dancing mostly.

I have danced tango argentino for over ten years and last 6 years I have been moving in more improvisational forms matched up with somatic research such as “Contact Improvisation”

I would love to improvise with dancers one day here is a great inspiration from the masters:

Until then I will just enjoy playing to the songs I like and keep improvising on what I know already…

Glad to be here!

Welcome, @Fahri.

That’s an interesting interaction in that video. I understand nothing of it, but it is strangely mesmerising!

Irish here. Historically, doesn’t that mean that you and I are friends?

Welcome to you, brother Fahri!
Do you know Davie504? :skull_and_crossbones:

The way they interact with each other is purely inspirational. You simply follow the feeling from your self and what you see(musician) or hear (dancer) for each and every next action you take…

The performative aspect of it is purely about presence and Julyen is the master of projecting it  That is why it catches you…

@101 Hey there mate! Yes I know of Davie504 and follow him since the quarantine days of youtube binging. Watching him motivated me to come back to bass!

Can’t wait to arrive to Module 13 so that I can SLAP it!
