Welcome @Birchgroover!
Welcome to the community @JerseyJive Chris! North Jersey resident here when I’m not traveling.
Welcome @JerseyJive
Welcome and enjoy the journey.
B2B is the best beginner course I was able to find.
And the knowledge of the people on the forum is amazing.
Any questions, just ask.
Glad you are here @JerseyJive.
I’m right next door in NY (Westchester).
When you are ready to start buying bass #2,3,4…or just want to see a great many basses, head up to here…
Hey all, looking forward to digging into these videos. Music has been a passion of mine since I was very young and I’ve always had an ear for it but never really developed the mechanical ability to make my hands and other appendages do what I need them to do… think flying fingers for days. I read an article the other day that basically said it takes on average about a year to become pretty proficient with a musical intrument and if you just keep putting it off, another year goes by and all you’ve built up is another regret that, THAT year could of been THE year. While this applies for any passion or desire, this is the year I’m gonna learn the bass. So, I went out, got me an Ibanez TMB100 a Fender Rumble 25, and I’m dedicated to learning this time around! Drums and Bass are the part of the music that makes a person move and sets the mood of the whole track… it may be background, but without the support it provides, any good composition would just fall apart. Plus, it looks like a groovy way to chill, just laying back and picking out a neat riff. Finally, I very much believe the time we spend with our passions is time we spend giving glory to God, and that suits me just fine in this season of learning and seeking, and restoration. Looking forward to it!

Glad you are here @pbsimmons85, enjoy the ride.
It is a journey, not an event for sure.
I think it took me a year to realize what I needed to learn on bass…took me about 5 years on sax to really understand what to work on. Strap in and play on!

A new bass is in my future. Right now I am playing a cheap Yamaha. It plays and sounds well enough for now.
Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement!
Welcome @pbsimmons85
Hey there fellow BassBuzzers, 42 year old American guy living in London. Just picked up a Fender Mustang Short Scale as a Christmas present (to/from myself) and have been having a blast. Looking forward to embarking upon the journey to badassdom. If anyone happens to be in London, give a shout. Cheers
Welcome @J_Gans!
