Hola. Alan here. 51, n Texas, semi retired, been playing for about 9 years. I haul and take care of horses for show barns (hunter/jumpers). I turn horse sh!t into music equipment is what I tell people I do for a living. The Unstable Stableboy. I have a band and started taking lessons to actually learn bass instead of just songs.
Money well spent.

Hello, there!

I’m a 38 year old from Lisbon, Portugal.

I played the bass some 20 years ago, was even in a garage band and played a few small gigs, but never learned music or consistent technique, just saw some tabs and copied what the guitarist did. After a couple of years, I gave up and never played it since.

I’m now learning it properly using these lessons, and I must say I’ve learned more in the past week than the whole time I played all these years ago. And I’m having a lot of fun too.

So a big hello to everyone and see you around!

Hello , 55 from CT. Have a 22 year old guitarist son with an Indie band and a home studio full of instruments I’ve bought over the years so figured its time to learn one now that I’m old enough to focus … and maybe if all goes well play with my son at some point , not in the band … just in the studio , that would be weird and old guy with the band . Anyway see what happens and Ill take a look around the forum and see how this program works out.
