Hey there @JEzzY66, welcome to the forum. Looks like we are becoming more and more international. I am from germany, so we are basically neighbours.

I think, learning to play bass might also have some positive effects for your rehabilitation and it is amazing how many “old timers” are on this forum. I am 54 myself.

Enjoy the course, it’s a lot of fun! :beers:

Hi everyone,
I’m a 34 y.o. Bass/Guitar player from Germany. My musical journey started on guitar 17 years ago but a couple of years later I bought my first bass, a cheap Precision copy, to record bass tracks in addition to my guitar tracks.
And I fell in love with the bass but what’s strange is that I didn’t enjoy playing bass when it comes to rock and heavier stuff, but I like playing that type of music on guitar. I love playing bass when it comes to Motown, Funk and Pop music, I was never really interested in playing guitar when it comes to these genres.
I bought a Harley Benton BZ 5000 NT and a LTD B 205 Fretless, that’s why my noisy Precision is collecting dust right now.
So I changed back and forth between bass and guitar. Now I was offered a gig in an eventband from a friend of mine who is the drummer in that band. He knows that I played bass through the years so I didn’t hesitate to kinda join the band. Because of Covid the first band rehearsal will probably be in march, so now I have three months to add a lot of songs to my repertoire and work on my general technique. :exploding_head:
Wish me luck, there’s a lot of work in front of me.

Thank you, I’ve just reached the end of module one.
I feel I’ve really accomplished something thanks to the lessons. It may be strange but I found it a little difficult following the fretting on the i-pad screen, I’ve downloaded the sheet music to practice to.
Forgot to say in my introduction that I’m from a village just west of Wantage, Oxfordshire, England
Keep buzzing…
