Hey, Dave here.
I have started following Josh’s lessons early on when I was still a teenager, somehow the Muse’s Hysteria & Living Colour’s Cult of Personality (both covered and tought by Josh), later bassists like Thundercat and Joe Dart have brought me here, so I bought my Squier Vintage JB Modified and the next I know I started playing with a drummer and then in a month or so I started my own band https://www.instagram.com/binary__boy/.
I’m super excited to get better at bass, have picked up something from the course here and there.

Hi Everyone,
My name is Alex and I’m a german living in Ireland. For years I thought I had an ecclectic taste in music but you don’t know what you don’t know so never copped I just liked good bass lines. Youtube brought me to Josh, started with some korean guitar solos, follow by Charles Berthoud, follow by Josh, follow by Scotts bass lessons and Talking bass. Charles is too advanced for beginners, Scott is friggin annoying with his automated email marketing and Josh spent an entire video putting in Lord of the Rings references.
After weeks of watching videos I turned 40 and got a Freya bass (wanted a squier affinity but stock and living in ireland meant weeks so went local.)
Been chipping away at the course and loving it. My daily Noddle at the moment is 7 Nation Army, Stand by me and yes, still trying Billy Jean.
