Hey! New Baby Bass Goddess here! I’m Micki and I bought my bass some time ago but life got in the way and I wasn’t able to practice and learn like I wanted to. Now that the pandemic is (sort of) over, I’ve relocated (hello Minnesota!), settled into my new job (RN here!), I’m ready to start again. Anything I need to know, please feel free to share. I look forward to being part of the community. Thanks!

Welcome, @rescuediva6408. Glad you’re here. Besides being a Baby Bass Goddess, your service as a nurse makes you a bona fide Goddess Goddess! Also, do you have a Rescue Diver certification, PADI, or otherwise? Enjoy the lessons!

Thanks for the compliment. Actually the rescuediva comes from my adult life in public safety. I’ve been in the Air Force, a paramedic, firefighter, respiratory therapist and flight nurse . Been rescuing people my whole life.

I actually picked up on the “diva” part of your handle after I posted. My mind went straight to “diver” as I used to do a ton of SCUBA. I got my Divemaster certification, and Rescue Diver was a required certification for that.

That is awesome!! I’ll be 55 in March, been playing since Black Friday 2023. Went on stage at the Social in Orlando and played December by Collective Soul with a band my buddy is in The Button Down Collective. I killed it too! They dropped 4 bars that I was unaware of so I got lost for a minute but proud that I found my way back in!! Thanks Josh. Pics to come.
