I got one of those to take in my truck camper to practice when I’m on a trip. They are cool little basses, really nice if you have short fingers like I do.

Hey all! My name is Mike and I am new to playing bass. I have messed around with guitar at different points in my life but never really took it serious. Last month at the ripe old age of 43 I decided I needed a creative outlet to offset my stressful job and so I picked up a bass and have not looked back. I am really enjoying the course and just passed through the benchmark lesson for the first time.

I picked up a used Ibanez SRMS805 5 string multiscale bass and I love it. Probably wasn’t the best choice for a beginner but it is the style of bass I want to play and it fits the music style I like the most.

Anyway. Nice to meet everyone and best of luck in your bass playing.

Hi, I’m Tracy and I’m new to the bass. I play guitar, a little mandolin, I sing, and I started playing drums way back in the day, I just turned 55. I had heart surgery in September of this year, and I needed some activity that was not too strenuous, and that could begin staving off the brain fog. The rekindled excitement about playing is just what I needed. I found Josh on YouTube right around all the black Friday sales. And here I am.

I’m really enjoying the pacing of the lessons, as well as Josh’s enthusiastic method of instruction. The amount of fun I’m having being able to play along with entire songs and knowing almost nothing, is exciting. I’m having a great time working through the Modules. It’s nice to meet all of you!
