What’s up guys. I’ve been doing Josh’s course for almost 2 months and I’m over the moon. This is the first time I’m learning instrument so consistently and don’t have to force myself to practice. It’s been a blast. Good to be here.

Welcome, @JenniferV. Glad you’re here. No worries, life always tends to get in the way of important stuff, like playing bass. Just keep in mind that your trusty axe is always there, patiently waiting for your attention so it can serve you another heaping helping of serious fun. Enjoy!

Hi everyone!

I’m Thomas from Canada, and I started the Beginner to Badass lessons about three weeks ago.

To kick off my golden age—otherwise known as my thirties—I decided to pick up the bass. I’ve always wanted to get back into music. I played a few instruments when I was younger, but after age 10, I stopped—unless you count being forced to play the recorder in school. (Personally, I don’t. I hated it haha)

I debated between drums and bass, but something about the groove pulled me in—and here I am!

Learning bass has been a blast so far. Josh is fantastic at catching those sneaky bad habits and keeping you motivated to push forward. Every day after work, I find myself itching to fret and pluck, and I even daydream about bass lines during my commute.

I’m really excited to finish the course and start jamming—hopefully with other bassists and musicians. Looking forward to connecting with you all and sharing the groove!

Im 44 and actually play acoustic guitar. I picked up the bass at the beginning of this year for some variety and to focus on finger stretching and learning the fretboard better. Im in a worship band and another start up project.

The bass player in the worship band actually injured homself at work and will be out for many weeks/months so ive been filling in the last two sundays. Realizing my shortcomings very quickly, here i am.

Hi, I’ve been wanting to learn to play (reasonably well) for like 30 years. I’m 65. Never to late… I guess I’ll find out. I bought a 2017 Fender P Bass about 3 weeks ago. Setup and ready to go. got a few more items to pick up and then… who knows; but I’m gonna try. my best to all ! :grinning: :cat2:

Welcome, @Wilde_Bass. Glad you’re here. Acquiring gear is well and good, but the first thing you should get is the Beginner to Badass course. There is no better way to learn how to play the right way, faster. Enjoy!
