When i did the B2B course I dabbled here then focused on sax a lot more for months and months. A pulled tooth took me off sax for a few weeks so I had gotten much more serious about bass while i couldn’t play sax, and found my way back to the forum. I have enjoyed this forum so much in the last few months, and now I have a new goal to join this elite squad!
Everyone: “HI PAM!”
Yeah, that gets in the way of my bass playing as well… Oh wait, that’s “sax” with an “a”
LoL! I just now saw this.
I still haven’t managed to get that damn Funky Forum Junkie badge.
I didn’t even realise there was a place you can see what badges you’ve earned!
I now realise I have no life
“Pam presents @Mac with the coveted ‘Has no Life’ badge”
In all seriousness, @Celticstar . . . if you are really concerned about missing any posts from anyone on these Forums, it’s very easy to fix:
-
Pick a member you don’t want to lose track of.
-
Double-click on their avatar.
-
Look for the “Network” Box and click on that. You can choose to “follow” them at that point.
Cheers and HTH,
Joe
I think what you describe is usually called FOMO: Fear of missing out.
It is kinda the thing that drives social media like Facebook.
What I do when I look into the Forum: Check the unread category. Read the topics that interest me, and afterwards mark the rest as read.
Though I am here every day, and it might be on the brink of FOMO, I would define it as still a good kind of FOMO. Because the stuff I read here is informative and I don’t read it “just because it is there”.
How do I mark the ones as read?
@Celticstar in the “Unread” list there’s a “Dismiss…” button.
And here I was looking for the typical ‘Mark All As Read Button’
Thank you.
Hum I don’t have that badge. Forum must be having glitches!
What’s the criteria for the badge?
oh nevermind I found it.
Dang, I have some work to do, only an aficionado of some sort at 288 days.
One more goal for my vision board
Ya, that’s actually somewhat disturbing
