Is the ToneWorks Korg Bass Pandora PX3B still relevant in 2026?

I still think this effects unit is just as relevant as when they first came out as it is still one of the best personal effects unit for bass guitar. I have a few of these at home and will shop around on eBay and Reverb for any.

If it is not relevant, then what are you using now?

If you still think it’s relevant then it’s relevant.

Look, no one is going to know or care what effects unit you play though - listeners can’t tell. The only people that winesnob things like this are other bass players. There’s only one important question when it comes to any gear: do you like it?

If it sounds good, it sounds good, no matter how old it is. My favorite digital reverb pedal is from 1994. My favorite delay unit was already discontinued by then.

Line 6 makes top tier gear that lasts much longer than it should. I really liked my Bass POD Pro and it was over 20 years old.

Even my bandmates don’t care, so the audience definitely doesn’t.

However our singer did compliment me on my new Origin Effect BassRig Fifteen pedal and she normally says nothing about tone.

I played through that with no effects at sound check and it sounded fantastic. The sound in my head, came out of the speakers. Magic

I’m super impressed with it

This thing is still relevant as an awesome headphone practice tool, if ya ask me. There are better, cleaner fx units out there (see all other posts) but this thing is so dang fun, and if you’re using it just to hear cool effects while you practice, it’s kinda perfect.

My original pandora is still working. That’s remarkable.
