What replacement strings will fit the Jackson Minion bass and which are the best choice. I want to know from people who own one and not people saying that Ibanez Mikro bass strings etc might fit, I want to know what will definitely fit properly please. I just bought a second hand minion which has cut down strings from a larger scale bass.
It’s a 28.6” scale bass so look for short scale 30” string set. That should be fine. The questions then become what kind, what brand, what gauge. It depends on the songs you like to play and what you like. Flat wound, round wound, tape wound, heavy gauge, medium, or light. Do you have prefer brand? Ernie Balls, Fender. GHS, La Bella, etc.
What string?, it’s a can of worm, 
If you just want one that fits then 30” short scale 105-45 round wound is the safest bet.

I just put a set of 50 - 105s on my short scale. Im liking that a lot so far. It gets some of the string tension back and makes it feel more like a 34” scale bass.

Cutting strings down to length is generally not a problem on most instruments.
I know its a 28.6” scale, I could buy Ibanez Mikro strings but its been pointed out that the distance between the nut and the E tuner is shorter on the minion and there is not enough taper. I don’t want to know what non owners of Jackson minion think what might or what they think should fit, I want to know from Minion owners what will definitely fit properly so I can it set it up properly, the correct strings will last longer and I already have cut down strings on it. So again please only Jackon Minion owners what strings will fit properly, let me know which brands types and gauges and I will take it from there. Thank you.
I think @cdconnolly1839 mentioned they had one.
I would say just use something along the lines of these. This is what I use anyway.
D’Addario XL Chromes Flat Wound Bass Guitar Strings - ECB81S - Short Scale - Regular Light, 45-100
I had these on my list of possible strings as I was thinking of switching to flat wounds, I’ve seen good reviews for these. Because they work on your Jackson minion without issues I will get some. Thank you for your help.
