I went to my local store this afternoon, and thay had a JB Player bass on the wall. Does anyone know about this company? It looked solid, sounded nice, isa neck through with a brass bridge. Made in Korea. But I have never heard about the brand

It didn’t strike me as heavy, it has had a nice neck profile and sounded pretty good. I didn’t play it very long. I think I will pass, my quest for a P will continue.

The TalkBass snobs seem to hate them, which is usually a good sign they are worth checking out.

JB Player is very similar in quality to Squiers of a few years ago and could be had much cheaper. I like them a lot. Only played around with one a while back but it played well, and had solid components.

I’m gonna look for one. That’s a nice looking unit. I dunno about buying one.but I’m still gonna look.
