Lego thumb rest

Hi,
Needed thumb rest / reference point for mij p bass for plucking between the Pickup and neck but found the fender ones a bit to high and short so I got this…
A Lego technic beam is lower and longer so I can rest my thumb on the E string when needed and cost 0,45 Eur at the local Lego store
Here it is:

You have combined two amazing things to make a more amazing thing.
Well done, I say.

If Lego knows about this it will be $10 easily, lol.

That reminds me that i have to adjust my 5 string… i haven’t adjusted it in over 2 years and all my basses needed some adjustments when i moved in May 2022. I looked last week and the B string is barely within walking distance  I’m going to 3D print a ramp for that bass, soon™

I am pinching this, genius!

I like the idea, but I find the fact that it’s not absolutely parallel to the E string triggering…

Haha yes , true… wanted to make it go gradually from pickup to the neck…not the most aesthetically pleasing

Great idea, BTW

Thank you… forgot to mention the color choice in lego is also amazing

I might have gone with hot pink to really make it pop off the pick guard. I love this idea though. I wish I had a bass that had a pick guard that let me do something like this.
