Let's talk Japan! (advice needed, 下さい)

Bocchi! What a great musical anime! Awesome that you visited all of those places! I can’t imagine how cool it must be to drive by somewhere and be like, hmm this wasn’t as 3d as I remember… :joy:

Heck yeah! Yaaaay! Another Bocchi fan. Ryo was one of the reasons to learn how to play bass.
It’s funny you mention the 3D because the background shots they use are regular photos that are adjusted in PhotoShop. But the character animation is 3D. :open_mouth:
Next year, if I make it back to Japan, I am planning on going to Shelter/Starry to see a show there. That’s my main goal.
Did you watch my Bocchi tour/pilgrimage video?

I haven’t watched it yet but I will.
Have you seen your lie in April? Probably the saddest show I’ve watched but soo good especially if you are into music. Nana wasn’t too bad either in the beginning.

I haven’t seen that one but have recently watched the Euphonium series. It was good. Top notch animation, character design, and music.
Here’s the link to my Shimokitazawa/Bocchi tour:

Oh boy you braved the rain without an umbrella in Japan! You are lucky to still be alive!

VERY awesome video. Thank you so much for creating it and sharing!

This will be really easy and of course lots of other stuff to do in Shimokitazawa. It’s actually a nice town to live in, very close in and yet still lots of stuff. Meidaimae (a couple stops farther ) is too.

I live in the Pacific Northwest so I am used to being in the rain with no umbrella. LOL!
Thanks for watching!

Another thing I want to do when I visit Shimo-kita is visit a guitar/bass store and buy a shoulder strap for my bass (one of the bigger, thicker shoulder straps). Do you know of any music store close to Shelter I could visit? Any recommendations?

I don’t know if I would look in Shimokitazawa for that. There’s gonna be better selections in Ochanomizu, Shibuya or Shinjuku.

Ochanomizu? Isn’t that the area where Bocchi buys her new guitar at the end of the first season? I would love to hit that place up just to look around but it will be really difficult to convince my wife to include that place on our next trip. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s the music instrument shopping district. Several blocks packed with multi-story music stores, some specialty, some chains, some very high end. The ESP Custom Shop and ESP Guitar School are there too.

Yeah, that’s the place at the end of the series where Bocchi goes to buy a new guitar. I want to go there so bad. :stuck_out_tongue:
