Loop pedals what to look for

Please share the pros and cons. I’m looking to get in to one. I know that I probably have them on my gt-1b, gt pocket and the WAZA air already.

Any advantage to have a stand alone single purpose pedal? What’s a must have features.

I know you have one on the Boss

  1. Put it in front of your chain, record some lines, use the loop to dial in effects for cool things.
  2. Put it at end to overdub or play more than one part. Good for live (can also do in a DAW of course). Good for multiple instrument messing too

Those are the two things having a stand alone pedal help with.

I find #1 very very useful.

Yes. These two things sum it up perfectly. The main convenience is being able to move it anywhere in the chain.

Must have features? Simplicity. Something like the Boss RC-1 or TC Electronic Ditto.

In reality I most likely only need rc-1 which is the reason why I’m looking at the RC -5 and Rc-10r lol.

Well something I found. The rc 10r. It has a cracked screen but it’s $130 instead of $361 new I thought, what the H. Plus I can return it if it doesn’t
