Mixing it up to get more ways to play the same thing

Found this video and thought it was interesting, especially for a beginner. You can play one song many different ways. Really cool ideas on how to work on making your sound different by using different patterns for the same song and often same notes.

I’m going to watch this. My first impression after clicking on “Play” is: good weed! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Nicely done:

Optional note choices, rhythmic interchange.

He missed the Steve Harris triplet approach.

And Cliff’s faster plucking / spacing

Simple? He missed John Mcvie.

Flea without slap?

He also missed the option of relying on first position, in that case the riff is a one finger, one fret, 3 string approach, the Pete Agnew approach.

The Dusty Hill pumping approach
