I see a fair amount of hate for this bass, and I completely understand. Bright yellow is not for everybody, but it is for me!
I fell in love with this bass the moment I heard the announcement about it, but sadly it was out of my price range. Thankfully it came out right around my birthday and Christmas, so my family all chipped in and bought me about $1k worth of gift cards, and helped make my dream a reality.
It is hands down the best bass I have personally ever played. So good, in fact, that it showed a lot of my weaknesses and actually spurred me to finally bite the bullet on @JoshFossgreen’s course.
Cool! This is definitely one of those “either love it or hate it” basses. Personally I don’t like it, but I can see why others would. Congrats and best of luck with the course!
Congrats, happy birthday, and merry Christmas!
I neither hate it nor I love it, but I would be proud to own it. You’ll be noticed on stage, that’s for certain!
Good luck with the course.
P.S. post it in Show us your basses
I did! It’s actually a pair of socks, and my parents had already bought me a set to wear, so I have some for wearing, and some for a weird bass accessory!
First rig I ever played out of was my friends Kustom 3x15 (I think?) and fell in love with the tuck and roll upholstery look. Another friend has a gold set that was in the Sands casino before it closed. And I found this one a couple of weeks ago on FB marketplace. I was lucky to find the cascade color as it is a “perfect” match with my Mono!
I was absolutely mind blown at how much better this is than the Peavey Millenium BXP 5 string I had! My left hand had to learn how to handle a proper instrument!
