So, I’m pretty much a newbie and I’m struggling with positions.
I’m working through the Hal Leonard Book # 1 .
The book mentions to switch from 1st to 2nd position(see attached pic).
Im struggling to understand how the position is going fron 1st to 2nd.

First position your index finger is on the first fret, middle finger second fret, pinky 3rd fret. Second position your index finger is on the second fret and the other fingers move up a fret as well.
